Insomnia / Sleep Problems

Missing out on your sleep can leave you feeling irritable and under par. It can lead to headaches, sluggishness and put a strain on relationships. Using caffeine stimulants can often make matters worse.

A good night sleep is essential to help your body recover, repair and rejuvenate.

Often sleep problems are caused by stress and anxiety where the mind does not want to switch off and stays constantly alert trying to find solutions to problems. The key to changing this process is to re educate the mind to switch off at bedtime and stop the racing thoughts.

Alix Needham will help you understand your sleeping problem and work with you using a variety of techniques so you can relax and switch off at the end of the day.

Ways to Improve Your Sleeping

Take part in some regular exercise each day such as walking or swimming. This helps to relieve stress and relax the mind and body.
Create a relaxing environment in your bedroom and make the room comfortable, dark and airy.
Avoid stimulants such as tea, coffee alcohol and smoking before bedtime. You will sleep better if you have a milky drink or a herbal tea.
Relax before going to bed by listening to some soft music, or a warm bath will help you to unwind.
Get into a routine by going to bed and waking up at the same time, even at weekends. This helps to set the body clock.
Write down anything that is worrying you before you go to sleep. Tell yourself you will deal with these matters in the morning.
