How to Improve Your Confidence
Use
positive affirmations These are statements you say to yourself
to re-program your mind. Repeat "I am now full of confidence"
10 times when you wake up and last thing before you go to bed. You'll
be amazed at how this will change your attitude to life.
Take time to relax Visualise yourself full
of confidence doing things that you used to have difficulty with. Imagine
how you would look. Notice how you sound. Sense a feeling of calm and
relaxation in your mind and body. Absorb this picture into mind and feel
a new energy and enthusiasm for life. Practise this regularly by holding
this positive image in your mind for as long as you can.
Exercise will give up an uplifting feeing if
done on a regular basis. It will increase the flow of oxygen to all the
cells in your body, lighten you up and stop you feeling sluggish. It can
also curb your appetite. So go for it -a long walk, an evening dancing
or a cycle ride will energise you and increase your confidence.
Get passionate about something in your life.
Invest time in something you really enjoy like painting the kitchen or
learning to play an instrument or roller blading This will give you a
sense of achievement and improve your self confidence. Stay focused on
your new project and surround yourself with positive like- minded people.
