At the beginning of the hypnotherapy
session to bring about relaxation the therapist may ask you to
concentrate on your breathing.
 
Breathing techniques are one of the
most effective natural ways to get rid of anxiety. When someone
suffers from an anxiety attack the breathing pattern changes as a
physical reflex. Your heart beats much faster and muscles also get
tensed up.

 
But a controlled breathing technique
will help you oxygenate blood from your diaphragm as a result of
which you will feel relaxed in a very short space of time. You need
to inhale slowly through nose, hold the breath for a few seconds and
finally exhale slowly thus completely feeling the breathing inside
your body.
